How We Work

We provide coaching and consultation to Network Leaders, School Principals, Teachers, and Instructional Coaches. We help leaders create and implement continuous improvement planning and build distributed leadership teams. We help teachers align instruction, instructional materials, and practices to the current standards and shifts. We use a combination of professional development and a train-the-trainer model to help ensure that we leave a sustainable footprint with our work. We serve districts by helping them serve all children. Especially those traditionally underserved, including but not limited to Students of Color, English Language Learners, Diverse Learners, and immigrant students.

Lines of Work for School Improvement

  • School Improvement Planning
Eduserve provides leaders with professional development and coaching through school improvement planning, monitoring, and reflection. We conduct comprehensive needs assessments to analyze site-level Math and ELA data to identify the root causes of why student achievement is not progressing at desired levels for students and subgroups. Eduserve helps to “shrink the change” by helping Principals develop SMART Goals and strategies to meet and achieve their vision for instruction. We provide further professional learning and site-based leadership coaching if schools require support implementing their SIP.
  • School Needs Assessments
Eduserve realizes that every school has unique assets and challenges. Eduserve has created a school needs assessment process aligned with our frameworks for effective teaching, learning, and leadership. We use a combination of walkthroughs, interviews, focus groups, and data to assess the assets and needs of a school. That data is then used to generate a report with recommendations. The report can then be used by schools to draft their school improvement plan.
  • Network Learning Communities
Great leaders often informally lean on their community of peers to support their learning, growth, and problem-solving. We seek to help networks make this practice structured and intentional. Eduserve helps job-alike communities of teachers, instructional coaches, and leaders develop a shared vision for their work and build a community of practice with one another. Network members have the opportunity to share standard methodologies and collaboratively work towards unpacking problems of practice.
  • Instructional Learning Team Development
Instructional Learning Teams support teachers and school communities to help Principals define high-quality teaching and learning. Eduserve helps schools develop ILTs composed of instructional leaders who share a deep commitment to providing professional learning and coaching to the staff. They provide the Principal with insights and support on developing and implementing the school’s vision for high-quality instruction. The ILT supports school improvement by building each member's ability to lead and facilitate teams and professional learning with colleagues.
